Gregory S. Abel, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Gregory Abel is a 1988 graduate of the Indiana University School of Optometry. He is residency trained in Ocular Disease at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia. Dr. Abel was an Assistant Professor at the Southern California College of Optometry in the Ocular Disease Service and Family Practice Clinic for 6 years, following which he became an Asssitant Professor at the Indiana University School of Optometry in the Ocular Disease Clinic, Contact Lens Clinic, and Family Practice Clinic. In 1995 he received the Clinical Faculty of the Year Award for the Third Year Class at Indiana University. Dr. Abel entered private practice part time in 1996, and with the move to Fort Collins in 1998, has been at Mountain View Eye Specialists full time. He specializes in the treatment and management of Ocular Disease, contact lenses, and corneal refractive therapy.

Amy S. Abel, O.D., F.C.O.V.D.
Dr. Amy Abel is a 1992 graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry. She was awarded first place in the Student Research Symposium, and is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa honor fraternity for academic excellence. Dr. Abel was awarded her fellowship in pediatric optometry and specializes in crossed and lazy eyes, brain injuries, and vision and learning. She is active in the community giving seminars to pre-school/school teachers on the importance of early detection in children. Dr. Abel is a member of the Neuro-opthalmic Rehabilitation Association, the College of Optometrists in Visual Development, the Optometric Extension Program, the Colorado Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.
